Privacy Policy

Overview

SnarkBack™ is built to give you quick, witty replies without keeping more data than necessary. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information: email address and authentication details when you sign up or sign in (via email/password or OAuth).
• Input and replies: the messages you paste, situation descriptions, selected tones or personas, and the replies we generate for you. These are stored so you can view your history and favorites.
• Usage data: daily reply counts, tier limits, and feature usage to enforce plan caps and improve the product.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information. IP addresses are recorded in our admin audit log for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment information: handled by Paddle. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
• Cookies and localStorage: used for authentication, session security, cookie consent preferences, and in-app preferences (for example, whether you have dismissed the onboarding card).

How we use your data

• To generate replies and render graphic cards.
• To provide, maintain, and secure your account.
• To enforce daily reply caps and subscription entitlements.
• To prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions through Paddle.
• To improve the product through aggregated, anonymized usage insights.

AI processing

Your inputs are sent to Lovable's AI gateway and underlying language models to generate replies. We do not use your personal messages to train AI models. Processing is performed on encrypted connections.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers:

• Lovable Cloud: hosting, authentication, database, and serverless functions.
• Paddle: payment processing, subscriptions, and billing.
• Google / Apple: optional OAuth sign-in providers.
• Analytics provider: if enabled, only after you consent to analytics cookies.

Data retention

Generated replies and history are retained according to your plan's history window. Free-tier history is kept for a limited time; paid plans keep history longer or indefinitely. When you delete your account, your personal data and history are removed from active systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep records for legal or security purposes.

Your choices

• History and favorites: you can delete individual replies, archive them, or remove favorites from the History page.
• Account deletion: you can delete your account and associated data from the Account settings page.
• Cookies: you can manage non-essential cookies at any time.
• Contact us: for data access, correction, or deletion requests, reach out via the Feedback link in the footer.

Children

SnarkBack™ is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of SnarkBack™ after changes means you accept the updated policy.
